"yeah!"
Like:- Very fun.
- Easy to play.
- Everybody knows how to play it and does not need to come with instructions.
Did not like:
- Made out of a very bad material that is not strong
Our objectives to make it fun were for it to be very basic, for people to be able to play easily without needing further explanation on how to play it.
We met these objectives.
What was the biggest problem you encountered? How did you solve it?
The biggest problem that we encountered is that the material was not strong enough to hold the original design, we realized this when their was thirty minutes left to finish the project. So we had to switch to a simpler model and make that one, and we had very little time to make it, thirty minutes.
When did you get your biggest "AH HA" idea? What was it?
Our biggest AHA moment was when we realized that we should not make the game with two playing faces and with two boxes, that we should just make it with one.
Who in your group resisted new ideas the most and why?
The person in our group that was the one that resisted the most was Ana Lara, she always said no to our ideas, we are not saying that her no´s stopped us from doing what we had planned but she kept saying no. She kept saying no because she thought that the ideas were unrealistic, that we were not going to be able to make the models that we had set out to do.
What doubts did YOU have about the project and how did you overcome those doubts?
I had very few doubts about my project, I was optimistic from the beginning. It thought that it was going to work, the only true doubt that I had with the original model was the person that was going to be playing the game be able to move the box to make the ball go into the hole without the whole box falling apart. We did not have a really good support system.
Who in your group played "devil's advocate" (a person who questions everything, even good ideas) and how did that help the process?
The person in our group that questioned everything was Ana, mostly because she was lots most of the time. She had trouble keeping up with both Willy´s ingenuity and mine. This did not help us, it just kept slowing us down.
What did you learn about yourself, teamwork, and the design process?
I learned from making this game that eveything has its complicated side, even something as simple as a ball. Everything has to be well designed for it to work well, and something that looks simple is not always simple.
